Goalie pants are not much different from player pants as they serve the same purpose. The only and main difference between the two is the design. They are usuallly built with a smaller waist with heavy padding in the thigh area. There is light padding in the back and sides, and on the covering of buttocks, waist and tailbone.
There are many sports stores and online stores that sell goalkeeper pants. If you intend to buy through the internet, you just have to use search engines to reach online stores selling goalie pants. You then have to buy goalie pants that will best fit you, choose your payment option and you will find your goalie pants in front of your home in a few days’ time.
When choosing your goalkeeper pants, make sure that they fit properly with loose to comfortable fit. You can tell the proper sizing of pants though waist measurements and measuring the length from your waist to the top of your knee. There is no point in buying pants that are too big as the goalie pads tend to get stuck to it or the padding may also move out of place. This only leads to exposure of areas of the body, and possibility of injury.
Wearing small pants too prove to be risky as parts of the leg and mid section get exposed for injury. You can use a belt, belt strap or suspenders to tighten your goalie pants at the waist. The choice lies with you as the tightness of the belt is your personal preference. However goalies tend to choose suspenders as it keeps the upper body protection closer to the body of the goalie. You can find goalie pants of various colors to choose from; however it is the red goalie pants which are more in demand.
There are also Lacrosse goalie pants for you to choose. These pants have anatomic mobility design that offers a large range of motion with maximum comfort. It has EVA and ABS padding that provides maximum protection to you with ultra mobility and minimal weight. It also has a poly mesh body construction that offers excellent moisture management along with extreme durability to ensure the goalie pants last a long time for you.
There is not much of maintenance required for your goalie pants; all you have to do is to allow full air to flow when drying them. Never place them over goalie skates as the bottom may tear. If the outer shell comes apart from the protection, wash it.
