On the other hand, hockey players who are relatively heavier shouldn’t go for sharper blades as the weight added to the sharpness will only let the player skate deeper into the ice. Thus, the player will just have a hard time skating.

Some players prefer to have their skates sharpened at a store because they don’t know how to sharpen ice hockey skates. Plus, some don’t have the tools like handheld hockey skate sharpeners. It would be better to resort to the stores as a specialized store will have a hockey skate sharpening machine.
